A family are appealing for help after seeing their 15-week-old puppy snatched from their garden.

Police are now searching for a man whose image was captured on CCTV in the West Earlham area, where the family live.

The puppy, a pug named Rocco described as white fawn with a curly tail, was snatched from the front garden of the family’s home in Savory Close between 7.05pm and 7.30pm on Monday.

Michael Travell, 28, said one of his and his partner’s children had seen the man snatch the puppy and then run from their close and turn right into Wilberforce Road.

He said: “A few dogs have been nicked around our area, it’s all we hear with pugs, because pugs can be worth £1,000. My step-daughter saw this bloke run off down the road.”

Anyone who has seen a puppy matching the description should contact Earlham Police Station on 101.
